One such wonderful recipe is the ragi porridge or also known as ragi cerelac powder known for its health benefits and nutrients.

Baby food or baby solids are perhaps one of the challenging meals to prepare and cook for new parents. There are so many criteria, properties yet so many to choose from within the homemade recipes and even the commercially available products. As a matter of fact, it was an overwhelming experience even for me with my first daughter. Perhaps, the experience even gets complicated with today’s nuclear family structure. We get less support from family as we are separated geographically. Considering all these points, I started the baby food section in my blog. Firstly, the quality of ragi grains or finger millet is highly critical for this recipe. Preferably, I would recommend choosing organic products particularly when planning it for babies. Secondly, I would recommend starting this porridge gradually with your baby. Perhaps, starting with a small quantity for breakfast would be ideal to see how the baby reacts to the food. Lastly, while preparing the porridge, you may need to add hot water and stir it continuously. Note that, ragi powder can easily form lumps when mixed with water, and hence be careful to avoid it. Also, you may add breast milk to the porridge to make it super nutrient.
