Ingredients
  

for ubtan powder:

  • ¼ cup masoor dal
  • ¼ cup chana dal
  • ¼ cup oats
  • ¼ cup rice
  • 2 tbsp sesame
  • 10 almonds
  • 2 tbsp sandalwood powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric

for ubtan face mask:

  • 1 tbsp ubtan powder
  • 2 tbsp curd
  • 1 tsp honey

Instructions
 

  • firstly, in a pan take ¼ cup masoor dal, ¼ cup chana dal, ¼ cup oats, ¼ cup rice, 2 tbsp sesame, and 10 almonds.
  • dry roast on low flame until the dal turns aromatic. and the moisture in lentils is lost.
  • cool completely, and transfer to the mixer jar.
  • add 2 tbsp sandalwood powder and 1 tsp turmeric.
  • grind to fine powder making sure the pulses are ground smooth.
  • you can sieve using a fine sieve and grind the coarse powder again.
  • transfer the powder into the glass jar and ubtan powder is ready.
  • to make mask, in a bowl take 1 tbsp ubtan powder and 2 tbsp curd.
  • mix well forming a smooth paste.
  • if your skin is dry, then make sure to add 1 tsp honey.
  • apply the ubtan mask on the face and body.
  • rinse off with cold water after 30 minutes.
