notes:

  • firstly, follow the same proportion of ingredients to get moist cake.
  • also, fill the cake batter ¾ of mug, as the cake raises when baked.
  • alternatively, mix all the ingredients in mug itself, however, i avoid to mix in mug as it creates a mess.
  • finally, chocolate brownie mug cake and red velvet mug cake taste great when served hot.

  1. Hi
The cake is simply awesome. My 3 year daughter loved it.
    But i have a query…
Do i need to grease the cup before pouring in the batter? Because am not able to demould the cake in shape. Or should the cake be served in the cup itself?

  2. Hi. I followed the recipe with the same quantity of ingredients. The brownie did not raise and it became dry like a biscuit.

  3. Hi Chef! I truly admire the efforts you put into making the recipes so precise! They work every time for me, and my family has started to love my cooking, thanks to your recipes.

I have a question, though. My family does have a sweet tooth, and they wish to have a single serving dessert at times, after dinner, for which the microwave mug cake is the best! Unfortunately, not everyone in my family enjoys chocolate cakes that much.
Is it possible if I can replace the cocoa powder in the recipe, with flour? And if yes, how much flour should be used?
And if that is not possible, your suggestion will be most valuable. 🙂

    • thanks a lot Shweta Ghai 🙂
yes you can replace it with flour but sure to add vanilla flavoring agent to make it flavorful.

  4. Hi, I tried this recipe last night. Quick and easy but I was in a hurry and used regular milk instead of thick milk. Cake turned our fine I think but I want to see if there’s any difference when I use thick milk.
My question is, what is thick milk?

    • i sued normal vegetable oil. cup cake are ussually baked in microwave but yeah you can use a bowl and bake it in cooker to. check my sponge cake recipe for baking in cooker.

  5. Sir, your recipes are always nice. I’m fan of your recipes which help me to increase my knowledge and skills. Thanks a lot for such a nice information.
