cabbage paratha recipe | patta gobhi ka paratha | patta gobi paratha with detailed photo and video recipe. an easy and healthy stuffed bread recipe made with spiced cabbage stuffing. it is an ideal lunch box or tiffin box recipe which can be served as it is without any side dish like curry or sabji. the recipe is made very similar to any other paratha were stuffing is stuffed inside wheat flour dough with spiced cabbage masala.
i have always been a huge fan of paratha recipes and i make it on a regular basis with almost all vegetables i find it in the market or in my fridge. i mainly make it for my dinner or for my husband’s lunch box. the biggest use case for these parathas is that it does not require any side dish as compared roti or chapathi. i personally like the cabbage paratha recipe or patta gobhi ka paratha is that it does not require pressure cooking. for example, if you are planning aloo paratha or mooli paratha, it has to be pressure cooked and then followed up by sautéing it with spices. in this recipe, the finely chopped cabbage leaves are spiced and directly used as stuffing in the bread.
anyway, i would like to highlight some tips, suggestions and variations for a perfect patta gobhi ka paratha. firstly, in this paratha, i have used white cabbage or white patta gobhi. but you can make the same paratha with all the other varieties of cabbage-like purple, green, red and also spring greens. secondly, i have chopped cabbage into finely using knife. you can use a food processor to finely chop the cabbage. you may have to take extra precautions if you are using a food processor as it may ooze out moisture. lastly, serve these parathas with either choice of pickle or with dahi/raita. it also tastes great when served with any choice of curry.
