mango mousse recipe | how to mango mousse dessert without gelatin or eggs with detailed photo and video recipe. an extremely popular and tasty mango based dessert recipe made with mango pulp, cream and choice of fruits topping. the recipe is extremely simple and can be made minimal ingredients available in most of the kitchens. it is typically made and served as dessert after lunch and dinner, but can be served at any time for all age groups.
as i mentioned earlier, the recipe is extremely simple, but the outcome would challenge any complicated desserts. as a matter of fact, i hardly took a couple of minutes to assemble the ingredients and prepare it. with respect to ingredients, it only requires fresh mango pulp, fresh and thick cooking cream and choice of dry fruits. in this recipe, i have used a hand blender to stiff peak the cream. well, it may not be common with many indian households, but as an alternative, you can use a long and narrow blender. further, to these, the only time taking a step in this recipe is the refrigerator part or set of the mousse in a cold place. typically it should be set within 1-2 hours, but depending upon the intensity of the fridge, it may take up to 3 hours maximum, once it set, you can enjoy the creaminess and mouth-watering sweetness with your friends and family anytime.
furthermore, some easy and important tips, suggestions and variation to a perfect and creamy mango mousse recipe. firstly, in this recipe, i have not used any setting agent like gelatin, or even vegetarian alternative agar-agar. most of the mousse recipes would require this, but not for mango based mousse. in addition, i have not added any artificial yellow colouring agent to make it more bright and attractive. you may add it if you feel it is less bright and yellow. secondly, i have added a quarter cup of powdered sugar to the cream during the stiff peak process. if you have a sweet tooth, you may increase it up to the half cup. lastly, i have freshly made the mango pulp by blending juicy ripe mangoes. you may use store-bought canned mango pulp as your alternative.
