it has been a while since i posted a desi version or a indian version of sandwich recipe. i have been posting healthy sandwich and toast recipes frequently, but thought of posting our own native version of sandwich. what else can be better than grilled paneer sandwich recipe. so basically i have chosen the grated version of paneer and mixed with finely chopped veggies and spices like cumin powder and red chilli powder. the other way of preparing the sandwich is to marinate and grill the paneer slab and stuff in between the sandwich. i personally like the former way of having the paneer based sandwich and hence i have used the same in this recipe. do try this way and let me know how did it taste?
furthermore, do check out some tips and variations for the grilled paneer sandwich recipe. firstly, i heavily recommend to use white normal sandwich bread for this recipe as compared to wheat bread or multigrain bread. in addition larger bread size are more preferred rather than small size breads. secondly, if you are planning this recipe for kids, than ensure to make it less spicy or perhaps ignore the red chilli powder completely. lastly, the same recipe can be sandwich toasted to as compared to grill. i personally like the grilled version but it is completely open-ended and as per individual preference.

Ingredients
- 1 cup paneer/cottage cheese, grated
- 2 tbsp carrot, grated
- 2 tbsp capsicum, chopped
- 2 tbsp corn, boiled
- 1 tbsp coriander, finely chopped
- ¼ tsp kashmiri red chilli powder
- ¼ tsp cumin powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- 2 tbsp tomato sauce
- 4 slice bread, white / brown
- 2 tsp green chutney
- 2 tsp butter
Instructions
- firstly, in a large mixing bowl take 1 cup grated paneer.
- add 2 tbsp carrot, 2 tbsp capsicum, 2 tbsp boiled corn and 1 tbsp coriander.
- additionally, add ¼ tsp chilli powder, ¼ tsp cumin powder, ¼ tsp salt and 2 tbsp tomato sauce.
- mix well making sure all the spices are combined well.
- now spread green chutney over a bread slice.
- furthermore, spread 2 tbsp of prepared paneer stuffing.
- cover again with bread slice spread with green chutney.
- now grill golden or toast on tawa by spreading butter.
- finally, cut half and serve paneer sandwich recipe.
how to make paneer sandwich with step by step photo:
