chocolate custard recipe | eggless chocolate pudding custard recipe with detailed photo and video recipe. a classical creamy dessert recipe made with milk, cocoa powder and custard powder. the dessert is a combination of chocolate flavour and richness, creaminess of the custard powder. the recipe is made very similar to any other custard recipe and follows the same cooking and resting process to yield the same wobbly texture.
i have posted quite a few custard recipes till now, including the desserts, cakes and halwa. but the combination of chocolate and custard makes this an ideal chocolate custard recipe. as i mentioned previously the texture of this dessert is very similar to the mousse recipe. yet it is very different and tastes completely different. to be honest, the combination of custard and chocolate yields a unique flavour and taste. and this makes it different from the traditional mousse recipes. moreover, because of the custard powder, it adds the wobbly texture to the dessert which you would not find it in most of the mousse recipes.
anyway, i would like to conclude by adding some tips, suggestions and variations to the chocolate custard recipe. firstly, i would always recommend using the full cream milk for this dessert recipe. lite and no fat milk would not result in the same creaminess and also would lag behind in the texture. secondly, i have made this dessert without any addition of fruits while it is cooked/rested. but you can experiment it by adding some tropical fruits which should equally taste great. lastly, you can make these well ahead in advance and store it in the refrigerator for a minimum of 1 week. this way, you can plan ahead in advance and serve it whenever you need.
