chutney paratha recipe | green chutney lachha paratha | chutney stuffed paratha with detailed photo and video recipe. one of the flavoured and tasty green coloured paratha recipe with homemade green chutney coated layered paratha. it is one such wholesome flatbread recipe that does not require any additional side dish or curries and sabji as it has all the required stuffing in it. it can be easily used to serve for lunch and dinner or also for morning breakfast with optional spicy pickle or raita.
this recipe is very much inspired by my previous masaledar lachha paratha. basically, in my previous edition, i had used a combination of spice powder and topped it on top of the layered paratha. but in this recipe i have used green chutney as a flavouring agent. in addition, the green chutney is homemade which makes it more fresh and flavoured. yet you can use the store-bought which should yield equally a great paratha recipe. furthermore, adding a wet agent can make the layering in lachha paratha tricky. hence the workaround is to make a dry and less moistured chutney recipe so that the paratha can be easily folded and layered. if you observe correctly, the crushing part of paratha is not smooth as other lachha parathas. this is mainly due to the wet ingredient and hence be careful with the amount you apply.
furthermore, some more additional tips, suggestions and variants to the chutney paratha recipe. firstly, from a chutney perspective, green chutney is an ideal choice but can be made with other chutney too. basically, you can use red chutney, sandwich spread or any chaat chutney and use it as an alternative to the green chutney. secondly, if you feel layering is a tricky option for you, you could use the same chutney and stuff it inside the paratha. you may refer to my previous aloo paratha recipe for the stuffing part. lastly, with respect to the paratha dough, i have used only wheat flour, but you may also use the combination of wheat and maida. perhaps, you could use 3:1 ratio for a perfect tasty paratha.
