Ingredients
  

  • 2 tbsp khus khus / poppy seeds
  • 2 tbsp cashew
  • 2 tbsp almonds
  • 1 tsp saunf / fennel
  • 2 pods cardamom
  • 2 tbsp custard powder
  • 1 litre milk
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • ¼ tsp green food colour
  • 2 tbsp sabja

Instructions
 

  • firstly, in a small bowl take 2 tbsp khus khus, 2 tbsp cashew, 2 tbsp almonds, 1 tsp saunf and 2 pods cardamom.
  • soak in water for 30 minutes or until the skin of the almonds separates.
  • peel the skin of the almonds and transfer them to the mixer jar.
  • add 2 tbsp custard powder and grind to smooth paste. keep aside.
  • in a large pan heat 1 litre milk.
  • once the milk warms up, add prepared khus paste and mix well.
  • continue to cook on low flame until the milk thickens and turns glossy.
  • also, add ¼ cup sugar and ¼ tsp green food colour.
  • mix well making sure everything is well combined.
  • transfer to a large bowl and chill for 2 hours.
  • also add 2 tbsp sabja and mix well.
  • finally, enjoy Khus Sharbat Recipe topped with ice and nuts.
