It is made and served in a different form, with different ingredients with different concentration levels. One such simple and easy coffee variation is the homemade cappuccino recipe, known for its froth and flavor.

As I mentioned previously, these kinds of beverages are generally made in cafe shops due to the type of instruments required for this recipe. Yet it can be attempted at home with the available kitchen equipment. So in this recipe, I have used a mixer blender to get the same froth and thickness that you get with a coffee machine. Well, to be honest, you may not get the same result, but still worth spending this effort compared to buying it from the cafe. I like the thickness we get from this way. The blender makes it foamier than the normal coffee machine. For some foamy would be a good option, but for some may not like it that way. Anyway, it is completely up to the individual.

Firstly, you should be good with almost all types of coffee powder for this recipe. I have used instant coffee powder which makes it ideal for such kind of recipe, but you can use any edible coffee powder. Secondly, for this recipe, sugar plays an important role and kind of necessary to this recipe. Yet if you prefer without sugar, you can make it without it and make sugarless coffee. Lastly, I would heavily recommend using full cream milk to get the same froth and texture. Avoid using other types of milk like soya milk, or almond milk for this recipe.

Altering this ratio would lead to different types of coffee altogether. In addition, the use of different types of milk would have different coffee recipes. Chef Tips for Homemade Cappuccino

The recipe for homemade cappuccino is very simple and can be made in minutes. However, with simple tips and tricks, the entire process can be fun and more productive. Some tips are –

  1. Coffee Powder – The thickness and texture of the coffee beverage mainly depend upon the quality of the coffee powder. For this recipe, instant coffee powder is ideal, and any reputed brand of coffee powder should be ideal.
  2. Full Cream Milk – For a creamy and frothy coffee, thick creamy cow’s milk is a must. Do not use plant-based or vegan milk options as they may not yield the same result, texture, and taste.
  3. Ratio – The ratio of sugar, coffee powder, and milk is critical for this recipe. If the ratio is changed, it would result in a different coffee beverage. It does not mean it is not a coffee, but it would not be referred to as a cappuccino.
  4. Machine – Typically, most of the coffee recipes are prepared with an espresso machine which would give the desired coffee filter. However, for homemade recipes, you may use a hand blender or mixer jar. Note that, it may not be the same as an espresso machine, yet a good bargain.
  5. Presentation – Generally, the cappuccino is presented with an art or design on top of the frothy coffee. This does not add any taste or flavor, yet makes it more presentable and attractive.
