rava modak recipe | suji ke modak without mould | suji modak recipe with step by step photo and video recipe. ganesha chaturthi festival is around the corner and we all think of just one recipe, i.e ukadiche modak. well it is one of the must offering for ganapathi chauti festival but you may also prepare other types of modak too. one of the simple and easy no mould modak recipes is rava modak or semolina modak known for its simplicity and taste.

every year since i started my blog, i have been posting the traditional ukadiche modak recipe with better quality and tips, tricks. but i have been getting a lot of requests to focus on other types of modak recipes too which may be easy for rookies or amateurs. moreover, i understand that there are many moulds based easy recipes, but i am not keen on those. even though i have shown the mould version in this post too, but trust me it’s not special. there isn’t any effort and i personally feel, when you are offering to your beloved god, you need to put some effort and get the best out of it. while you may struggle initially shaping without the mould but it is not any rocket science and you should nail it in the second or third attempt.

furthermore, some more additional tips, suggestions and variants to the rava modak recipe. firstly, in this recipe, i have not used the traditional coconut and jaggery based stuffing as the sugar is mixed into the rava. yet you may stuff the coconut jaggery mixture before shaping it. secondly, i have not added any artificial colour or kesar colour to the rava mixture but adding is an option to make it colourful. you may soak kesar strands in the warm milk and mix it into the rava mixture. lastly, to shape the modak, i have used a toothpick to mark it. this can be handy, but you may also use a fork to shape it.

finally, i request you to check my other related sweet recipes collection with this post of rava modak recipe. it mainly includes my other types of festival recipes like, poornam boorelu, rava laddu, wheat sweet, tutti frutti burfi, pancharatna sweet, appalu, crushed peanut chikki, rice flour sweet, halkova – 90’s kids favourite sweet, besan peda. further to these i would also like to add my other recipe categories like,
