no bread sandwich recipe | sandwich without bread | breadless sandwiches with detailed photo and video recipe. a unique and interesting way to prepare a breadless sandwich recipe using rava and different types of vegetables topping. it is an ideal and healthy sandwich recipe filled with different types of diced vegetables, making it tasty and filling. this recipe is generally made with sandwich toaster, but can also be made with the sandwich grill or even on cooking pan.
there is no rocket science in this recipe. basically i have used the instant rava uttapam batter to prepare this recipe. its same batter, the same set of veggies toppings and same spices. but different shape and cooking method. having said that, there are other variants and sandwich without bread can also be made with other ingredients too. the other most popular way to make this with besan or chickpea flour. but the advantage of making it with rava is you can experiment the same batter and prepare dosa or uttapam. moreover, with besan some may have allergies to it and semolina makes it the best alternative for all.
furthermore, some more additional tips, suggestions and variations to no bread sandwich recipe. firstly, i would heavily recommend using bombay rava or medium-sized rava. do not ever attempt with bansi rava or even with fine-sized rava which may not hold together and may not shape while toasted in a sandwich toaster. secondly, while filling the toaster, do not overfill it, and also use a small amount of cheese slice in it. otherwise, it may ooze out and may not get the proper shape. lastly, i have not added any stuffing in between and added all the veggies to the batter. you may further add spiced veggies in between to make it spicier and flavourful.

Ingredients
- 1 cup rava / suji, coarse
- ½ cup curd
- 1 tsp chilli flakes
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ cup water
- ½ carrot, finely chopped
- ½ onion, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp sweet corn
- ½ capsicum, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp coriander, finely chopped
- ½ tsp eno fruit salt
- butter, for greasing
- 1 cheese slice, quartered
Instructions
- firstly, in a large bowl take 1 cup rava, ½ cup curd, 1 tsp chilli flakes and ½ tsp salt.
- mix well making sure everything is well combined.
- now add ½ cup water and combine well.
- add ½ carrot, ½ onion, 2 tbsp sweet corn, ½ capsicum and 1 tbsp coriander.
- mix well forming a thick batter.
- rest for 10 minutes or until the rava absorbs water.
- further, add ¼ cup water and mix well forming a smooth batter.
- now grease the sandwich maker with some butter.
- just before preparing a sandwich, add ½ tsp eno fruit salt and mix gently.
- once the batter turns frothy, transfer a tbsp of batter to the sandwich maker.
- place a cheese slice. make sure the cheese slice is the size of the sandwich.
- cover with the batter making sure it is uniformly covered.
- now close the lid of the sandwich maker and press tight.
- grill until the sandwich turns golden brown and is cooked uniformly.
- finally, enjoy no bread sandwich with tomato sauce.
