pizza paratha recipe | cheese paratha recipe | cheese stuffed paratha with detailed photo and video recipe. it is a unique fusion recipe with the combination of north indian paratha recipe with the italian pizza recipe. it has gained a lot popularity especially with kids and is an ideal lunch box or kids snack recipe. the recipe is also popularly known as stuffed vegetable cheese paratha with vegetable stuffing is completely open ended.
the recipe for pizza paratha is very simple and it begins with kneading the dough for any paratha recipes. once the kneading process is complete, the stuffing can be done in several ways. in this recipe i have stuffed stuffing into a single roti. however, you can roll two separate rotis. and stuff the topping in it on one of the roti. later it can be covered by the second roti and followed by sealing it properly. the other way is to roll single large thick chapathi and the stuffing is topped only half of it. the remaining half is then folded to seal it properly. later it is fried on normal pan by applying butter generously on top of it. cheese paratha can be served immediately or can be served later by microwaving it for 20-30 seconds.
furthermore some easy tips and variations while preparing pizza paratha or cheese paratha recipe. firstly, the toppings for this recipe is completely open ended and can be easily experimented with choice of yours. but make sure that these veggies are fine chopped so that it can be easily stuffed into parathas. secondly, if you do not have access to pizza sauce for this recipe, you can use the combination of tomato sauce and chilli sauce. lastly, i have used the mozzarella cheese for the stuffing but you can use any cheese of your choice.

Ingredients
for dough:
- 2 cup wheat flour / atta
- 2½ tsp oil
- ¼ tsp salt
- water to knead
for stuffing:
- 1½ cup mozzarella cheese, grated
- 2 tbsp onion, finely chopped
- ½ capsicum, red & green, finely chopped
- 5 olives, finely chopped
- 5 jalapeno, finely chopped
- ¼ tsp salt
other ingredients:
- ¼ cup wheat flour / atta
- ½ cup pizza sauce
- 2 tsp chilli flakes
- 2 tsp mixed herbs, basil, marjoram, oregano, rosemary, sage, thyme
- oil for roasting
Instructions
- pinch a ball sized dough, roll and flatten it. also dust with some wheat flour.
- spread 2 tsp of pizza sauce leaving the space from sides
- place 1 tbsp full of prepared pizza stuffing in the centre.
- sprinkle ¼ tsp chilli flakes and ¼ tsp mixed herbs.
- take the edge and start pleating bringing to centre.
- also join the pleats together and secure tight.
- sprinkle some flour and roll slightly thick.
- place the paratha on a hot tawa and cook for a minute.
- furthermore, when the base is partly cooked (after a minute), flip the pizza paratha.
- also brush oil / ghee and press slightly. flip again once or twice till both the sides are cooked properly.
- finally, serve hot pizza paratha or cheese paratha with sauce.
how to make cheese paratha with step by step photo:
- firstly, in a large mixing bowl take 2 cup wheat flour, 2 tsp oil and ¼ tsp salt.
- mix well making sure everything is combined well.
- now add water as required and knead dough.
- knead to smooth and soft dough.
- grease the dough with oil to prevent from drying.
- cover with moist cloth and rest for 20 minutes.
- meanwhile prepare the stuffing by mixing 1½ cup mozzarella cheese, 2 tbsp onion, ½ capsicum, 5 olives, 5 jalapeno and ¼ tsp salt.
- now once the dough has rested, pinch a ball sized dough and flatten.
- further roll it in a circle of about 5 to 5.5 inches in diameter.
- spread 2 tsp of pizza sauce leaving the space from sides.
- place 1 tbsp full of prepared pizza stuffing in the centre.
- sprinkle ¼ tsp chilli flakes and ¼ tsp mixed herbs.
- take the edge and start pleating bringing to centre.
- also join the pleats together and secure tight.
- sprinkle some flour and roll slightly thick.
- place the paratha on a hot tawa and cook for a minute.

notes:
- firstly, finely chop all vegetables, else it will be difficult to roll.
- also i have used mozzarella cheese, however you can use cheddar cheese or cheese of your choice.
- additionally, make sure to stuff the stuffing well, else cheese will melt and woose out while roasting.
- finally, pizza paratha or cheese paratha taste great when served hot.
