i have already shared the savoury version of shankapali but i was getting several requests for sweet version or shakkar para recipe. i was waiting for the diwali festival season to arrive. having said that i prepare it frequently as sweet shakarpara recipe is my husband’s favourite snack. actually he takes it office as a munching snack and as side dish with this lunch box. having said that he does not prefer the other version of sweet shakkar para where it is soaked in sugar syrup. it is too sweet for him and he likes it to be a subtle snack than a sweet dish.
furthermore some easy tips and recommendations for a perfect crisp sweet shankarpali recipe. firstly, add a tsp of rava while kneading dough for extra crisp texture. also make sure to dissolve sugar well before adding maida. lastly, fry on low to medium flame, else the shakkar para will remain raw from inside and wont taste great.
