Indian cuisine deals with several traditional beverages which are also popularly known as sharbat. One such simple & tasty drink is mohabbat ka sharbat known for its attractive colour.

I was exposed to this sharbat long back but did not realize that I had not posted this recipe on my blog. The recipe is simple with basic ingredients without any fancy premium ingredients. It is just that, I assumed I had posted this long back. My first encounter with this recipe was during my first visit to Delhi and its bustling streets. I knew about this drink, but when I saw it I was already in love with it. Particularly the pink color makes it very attractive. In addition, the combination of other ingredients like sabja seeds, and dry fruits make it more appetising and healthy. Do try this and I am certain that you and your family would certainly love it.

Furthermore, some more additional tips, suggestions, and variations to mohabbat ka sharbat recipe. Firstly, I have used ripe pink colored watermelon with full cream milk. Avoid using other colored watermelons as they may not yield the same texture and interesting color. Secondly, if you wish to make this juice more thick and creamy, you may add a vanilla ice cream scoop. This may turn the sharbat into a milkshake, hence better to avoid it. Lastly, serve this juice with the finely chopped watermelon cubes as it topping. Additionally, you may also add other toppings like finely chopped dry fruits, other fruits, and even whipped cream.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 cup milk
  • ice cubes
  • 2 tbsp rooh afza
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp sabja seeds
  • 2 cup watermelon, finely chopped

Instructions
 

  • Firstly, in a large bowl take 4 cup of chilled milk. Make sure to use full-fat cream milk.
  • Add ice cubes to make the milk extra chilled.
  • Also, add 2 tbsp rooh afza and ¼ cup sugar. Mix well making sure everything is well combined.
  • Now add 2 cups chopped watermelon, 2 tbsp sabja seeds and mix well. The small pieces of watermelon give a nice crunch in the milk.
  • Further to make it extra flavourful, you can add more rooh afza depending on the flavour.
  • Finally, mix well and enjoy Watermelon Milkshake or Mohabbat Ka Sharbat.

How to make Mohabbat Sharbat with step-by-step photos
