Mango Delight Recipe | Soft Mango Jelly Halwa Dessert - No Atta, No Gelatin
Ingredients
- 2 cup mango
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup corn flour
- 3 cup water
- 4 tbsp ghee
- desiccated coconut, for garnishing
Instructions
- firstly, in a mixi jar take 2 cup mango and blend smooth making sure the chunks are ground well.
- transfer the mango puree to a large bowl.
- now add 1 cup sugar, 1 cup cornflour, and mix using a whisk.
- make sure there are no lumps in the mixture.
- transfer the mixture to a large kadai and stir continuously.
- keep stirring continuously, keeping the flame on low to medium.
- after 5 minutes, the mixture will start to thicken.
- now add 2 tbsp ghee and continue to cook.
- the ghee is absorbed completely.
- further, add 2 tbsp more ghee and continue to cook. i have used a total of 4 tbsp of ghee in batches.
- keep stirring until the mixture will start to hold shape and separate the pan.
- transfer the mixture to a box lined with parchment paper.
- level up making sure it is of uniform thickness.
- rest for 2 hours or until the dessert is set well.
- cut into the shape of your choice and roll in desiccated coconut.
- finally, enjoy mango delight or mango halwa topped with nuts.

notes:
- firstly, if there is too much fiber in mango then filter out the puree. else the halwa will not be glossy.
- also, adding ghee is optional. however, it will give a nice glossy shine.
- additionally, make sure to keep stirring else the mixture will stick to the pan and burn.
- finally, mango delight or mango halwa turns hard if overcooked and sticky if undercooked.
