I typically do not like any oats recipe for my breakfast and I prefer it to be something savory and hot. Even my husband does not prefer to have a chilled breakfast with milk or yogurt. We did try to milk or yogurt-based oats but being a South Indian, our appetite always craves something warm and savoury. Previously, my husband used to consume masala saffola oats daily during his bachelor days. He used to eat it because it was easy and simple to prepare, however never appreciated it. In addition, oats are plant products and it has almost no cholesterol. Hence it is certainly the best meal to include in our diets. Also, having instant store-bought meals may not be healthy and hence preparing this basic recipe from scratch is ideal. Â
While it is straightforward to prepare an oats masala recipe, but few tips and variations before preparing it. Firstly, adding vegetables is open-ended and it is completely up to the individual’s preference. However, add small finely chopped vegetables to hasten the vegetable cooking. Moreover, this recipe can also be prepared without any vegetables.
