  • 2 cup rice
  • water (for rinsing)

for besan:

  • 2 cup chana dal

for maida:

  • 2 cup wheat flour / atta

  • drain off and spread over the cloth.
  • allow it to dry completely.
  • dry roast on medium flame for 3-5 minutes or until it dries out completely.
  • cool completely, and transfer the rice into a blender.
  • blend to a fine powder.
  • sieve the flour with fine sieve.
  • finally, homemade rice flour recipe is ready.

homemade besan flour preparation:

  • firstly, dry roast the chana dal on medium flame for 3-5 minutes or until it dries out completely.
  • transfer to a large plate and allow it to cool.
  • blend to a fine powder.
  • sieve the flour with fine sieve.
  • finally, homemade gram flour or besan recipe is ready.

homemade maida from wheat flour:

  • firstly, tie a fine cloth to a large bowl.
  • sieve wheat flour slowly. you can use a spoon or spatula to press the flour.
  • discard the coarse flour as maida is refined flour for wheat flour.
  • finally, homemade maida or plain flour recipe is ready.

  • firstly, make sure to dry roast the rice, chana dal completely to increase the shelf life.
  • also, store brought maida will be bleached, resulting in white colour. i have shared a healthy way of preparing maida from wheat flour.
  • additionally, use high-speed mixi to powder to flour finely.
  • finally, homemade besan, rice flour and maida is ready.
