I have sharedย several momo recipes, but I received numerous requests for aย spicy and tasty momoย chutney recipe. I had previously shared a momos sauce recipe, but I didnโt have a video, so I thought Iโd share it with one. The recipe I have shared in this post is similar to street-style and is primarily prepared with ripe tomatoes, garlic, soaked almonds, and other spices. Additionally, I have incorporated Chinese cuisine sauces, such as soy sauce and vinegar, which add a distinctive Indo-Chinese flavour perspective. In total, the recipe is a combination of indian flavour and taste with the uniqueness of Chinese flavours.
Furthermore, some variations and tips are provided while preparing the spicy and tasty momos chutney recipe.ย Firstly, I have added 4ย Kashmiri red chillies to this chutney recipe, which makes it an optimal level of spiciness. However, if you feel it is too little or too much, you can easily adjust the level by adding more black pepper for a spicier flavour or removing the red chillies. Secondly, I have added almonds, which neutralise and balance the spice level of the chutney, giving it a creamy texture. It can be replaced with other nuts, such as cashews or peanuts, which should have the same effect. Lastly, I have attempted to achieve a medium thickness consistency, which can be easily varied according to preference.

About Momos Chutney
An easy and flavourful purpose-based condiment side dish prepared to enhance the taste of steamed vegetable dumplings. Momos Chutney, also commonly known as Momos Red Sauce, is a must-have chutney that makes this street food meal a complete and tasty meal. The recipe is typically made with ripe tomatoes, garlic and other basic spices to give a bright red colour. Although it is primarily prepared as a side dish for momos, it can also be treated as a multipurpose chutney and served with various other Indian snacks.
There are many different types of Momos Chutney across Indian states, but the most common way is prepared with ripe tomatoes. The texture of this tomato-based chutney can vary, ranging from smooth to thick to coarse. The other variation is to make it green in colour with green chillies and coriander leaves as the base. Further, the same chutney can also be prepared with just garlic and Kashmiri red chillies to give a rustic and rugged texture.
