onion paratha recipe | pyaz ka paratha recipe | pyaaz paratha with detailed photo and video recipe. a onion stuffed indian flat bread recipe, ideally suited for daily lunch or breakfast. it is typically served or eaten by itself without any side dish, but it can served with any choice of indian curries or sabzi’s.
it has been a while since i had posted any paratha recipe and onion paratha was due for long time. even though i prepare parathas on a daily basis, yet it took me while to post this recipe with a video. i personally prepare it by mixing the sautéed onion to the wheat dough, because i feel it much easier to prepare. but in this recipe i have chosen the stuffing way because of 2 reasons i.e the onion masala gets spread evenly and the paratha’s can be rolled easily. the other option is i personally feel to get the best taste of paratha’s, it has to be stuffed. otherwise, without stuffing it is just a spiced chapathi or roti’s.
while there isn’t much complicated steps with the onion paratha recipe, yet some tips to make it perfect. firstly, cut the onions really fine else it will be really difficult to roll paratha thinly. also, do not keep the stuffing for long time, as onions release moisture and will be difficult to roll. lastly, pyaaz ka paratha taste great when stuffing is slightly spicy. if you are serving it spicy then it is best served with curd/yogurt which helps in reducing the heat.
