Sattu Ladoo Recipe | Sattu Ke Laddu – Healthy Kids Snacks with step-by-step photo and video recipe. Indian cuisine is incomplete without mentioning its classical and traditional sweets and dessert recipes. Most of these sweets and dessert recipes are made with milk and different types of flour & grains. One such easy and simple North Indian cuisine dessert is sattu ladoo recipe known for its crunchy taste.
I have posted quite a few laddo recipes and every laddu has its own humble and unique story. The origin of this simplistic laddo hails from the Bihar and Uttar Pradesh border areas. Initially, it was made and served as a complete snack for kids and young adults as it supplies an abundant amount of energy and calories. However, gradually it has been adopted and transformed into a dessert with the addition of dry fruits, sugar, and gond crystals. Hence it can also be seen served for various occasions and celebration feasts. I make these and serve them to my kids as it helps them gain the required amount of energy. Do try this and I am certain you and your family would love it.
Furthermore, I would like to add some more tips, suggestions, and variants to sattu ladoo recipe. Firstly, the quality of roasted Bengal gram or sattu has to be top-notch. Stale or expired are no good for this ladoo and it may leave a bitter taste on the final product. Hence ensure the best quality. Secondly, once all the ingredients are mixed, it has to be right crunchy consistency. This helps to mix and shape the ladoo with ease. Lastly, adding organic jaggery is the most preferred sweet ingredient for this laddu. However, it can be replaced with sugar, but may not yield the same color and texture.
