Ghee Biscuits Recipe | Ghee Cookies โ€“ Ghee Naankhati with step-by-step photo and video recipe. Cookies or biscuits are a popular and sought-after snack or condiment, particularly in Indian cosmopolitan cities. There are a range of biscuits but are generally made with butter as their wet ingredients. The same cookies can also be made healthy with ghee as a butter alternative and ghee biscuits are one such simple recipe.

I have posted different types of Indian or Desi cookies including a wide range of Naankhati recipes. However, I have to admit that, ghee biscuits or ghee cookies are one of the most healthy and tasty biscuits out of all. We all know that using butter does bring all its impurities with it when used as a wet ingredient. There is no doubt about the taste it has to bring to the table, but it also brings cholesterol problems with it. Hence it is always best to choose something better and healthy. Moreover, you may wonder if it has a pungent or strong flavor from ghee. Rest assured, you would not even notice the difference and consider it as just another butter cookie.

Furthermore, some more related and additional tips suggestions, and variants to ghee biscuits recipe. Firstly, I have made these cookies using plain flour or maida flour. Using maida makes it super attractive and also good in taste. However, the biscuits can also be made with wheat flour or atta. Secondly, I have shown and baked these cookies in tawa and stovetop. However, these are best baked in a traditional oven for even cooking. Lastly, store these in an air-tight container for longer shelf life and freshness. Moreover, it does not take much time to bake these and hence bake and serve in small batches.
