Chocolate Pancake Recipe | Eggless Chocolate Protein Pancakes with step-by-step photo and video recipe. Pancakes are a traditional Western breakfast recipe made with plain flour, similar to South Indian dosa recipes. They are typically served with a wide range of toppings to make them more attractive. Pancakes can also take additional flavour; a chocolate pancake is one such variation.

This recipe post was long overdue, and I assumed I had already posted it. Chocolate pancakes are the recipe most requested by my blog readers. And for some reason, I thought I had already posted it. I am posting a basic and healthy version of chocolate protein pancakes. If you browse the internet, you may notice myriad versions of it. They all look delicious and attractive, but almost every recipe falls under the dessert category, not breakfast. I have concerns with this, and I like my pancake to be healthy and more aligned towards kids. I want something nutritious and attractive for my kids in the morning and refrain from giving them loaded cream, chocolate sauce or any dessert recipe.

Furthermore, there are more tips, suggestions, and variations to the chocolate pancake recipe. Firstly, use high-quality and trusted cocoa powder for this recipe. Also, use unsweetened, dark colored cocoa for a rich and attractive colored pancake. In addition, you may add melted sweet chocolate to the batter. This makes it richer, but if possible, avoid it. Secondly, use fresh fruits as a topping or serve with these pancakes. Serving berries or grapes makes it a more attractive, rich, and healthy breakfast meal. Lastly, I have prepared this pancake without egg yolk. Adding it makes it softer and tender and gives it an authentic texture. In short, if you consume eggs, you should not avoid adding them to the batter.
