furthermore, some more additional tips, suggestions and variations to the tomato sandwich recipe. firstly, bread slices are always a critical ingredient for any sandwich recipe and for this sandwich too. hence, i would strongly recommend using plain white sandwich bread slices for this recipe. avoid using multigrain, wheat or gluten-free as it may not yield the same taste. secondly, i have prepared an instant and quick pav bhaji stuffing and do not have all the vegetables as traditional pav bhaji has. but if you have any leftover pav bhaji curry from your previous day, you may use it without any hesitation. lastly, this sandwich is prepared on grilled tawa which should have the same effect as a sandwich grill. i used it just to show that it can also be used but that does not mean it is a must. you may use a plain tawa or even sandwich toast or grill for the same purpose.

Ingredients
for tomato stuffing:
- 1 tsp butter
- ½ onion, finely chopped
- 2 tomato, finely chopped
- ¼ tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp pav bhaji masala
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 tbsp coriander, finely chopped
for sandwich assembly:
- bread
- butter
- green chutney
- tomato slice
- cheese slice
- chaat masala
Instructions
- firstly, in a pan heat 1 tsp butter and saute ½ onion.
- add 2 tomato and saute until tomatoes turn soft and mushy.
- now add ¼ tsp turmeric, 1 tsp pav bhaji masala and ½ tsp salt.
- saute on low flame until the spices turn aromatic.
- add 2 tbsp coriander and mix well. tomato stuffing is ready.
- to prepare the sandwich, spread butter on 2 slices of bread.
- also spread green chutney to make it masaledar.
- further top with 1 tbsp of prepared tomato stuffing.
- and place 2 slice of tomato and 1 slice of cheese.
- sprinkle some chaat masala and cover with bread slice.
- grill the sandwich to golden brown on both sides.
- finally, enjoy tomato sandwich with tomato sauce.

- also, you can add cucumber slices and potato slices to the sandwich.
- additionally, before spreading green chutney, make sure to spread butter to prevent the sandwich from turning soggy.
- finally, tomato sandwich recipe tastes great when grilled with lots of butter.
