MAWA - KHOVA 

firstly, in a large kadai take 700 grams khoya. make sure to grate it or crumble the khoya for uniform cooking

SUGAR - 1 CUP

add 1 cup ((225 grams)) sugar and start to mix

COOK - LOW FLAME

keeping the flame on low, continuously stir until the khova and sugar melt

SMOOTH TEXTURE

mash the khova making sure there are no lumps

SMOOTH TEXTURE

cook until the mixture thickens and starts to separate from the pan. takes approximately 10 minutes

DIVIDE HALF

divide the mixture into 2 equal parts. and transfer 1 half of the mixture to the tray lined with baking paper.

LEVEL UP - IN TRAY

press and level up uniformly. i have used the tray of size: 6 inch x 3 inch

COCOA POWDER - 2 TBSP

to the remaining half of the mixture, add 2 tbsp cocoa powder and mix well.

MIX WELL

continue to cook until everything is well combined.

LEVEL UP

transfer the mixture over the burfi layer forming double-decker layer

LEVEL UP

press and level up uniformly

REST - 30 MINUTES

now rest for 30 minutes or until the burfi sets

READY TO EAT

finally, cut into pieces and enjoy chocolate burfi
