Malai Roll Recipe

Malai Roll Recipe | Roll Mithai – Halwai Style Mithai with step-by-step photo and video recipe. Milk or Milk Powder-based sweets are super popular across India and are made for myriad reasons. The most common recipes made using Milk are either barfi or shaped as Ladoo which is very well appreciated. However, it can also be shaped as a roll with some interesting dry fruit stuffing and malai roll or roll mithai is one such recipe.

I have posted several milk-based sweets, but this malai roll recipe has to be one of the simplest of all. The recipe is made by combining milk powder with powdered sugar and tutti frutti dry fruits. Once combined, it is shaped into cylindrical rolls with Silver Vark to make it an exciting sweet mithai. The stuffing with tutti frutti is optional and it can be replaced with any other dry fruits. But using tutti frutti dry fruits makes it super unique. Unlike other dry fruits, tutti frutti is colorful and also soft in texture. Hence adding it makes it super special and crunchy in taste. Do try this sweet and I am certain you and your family would certainly love it.

Furthermore, some more related and additional tips, suggestions, and variants to the malai roll recipe. Firstly, using milk powder is a quick and easy solution for this sweet snack. However, using Mawa or Khoya is a much better option. This can be bought commercially, but homemade Mawa or khoya is a much better option. Secondly, on top of tutti frutti, you may add other types of dry fruits like crushed cashew nuts, almonds, raisins, and pistachios. But try to limit the quantity and it should be just toppings. Lastly, the same combined mixture can be shaped to any desired shape. There are no restrictions on it, but a cylindrical roll is ideal for this sweet.
