Ingredients
- ½ cup ragi
- ¼ cup rice
- ¼ cup moong dal
- 10 badam
Instructions
- firstly, in a large bowl take ½ cup ragi, ¼ cup rice, ¼ cup moong dal, and 10 badam.
- rinse 3 times with clean water. make sure to rub and rinse well.
- drain off the water and spread it on a clean cloth.
- sun dry until it gets dries well.
- now dry roast on low flame until it turns aromatic.
- cool completely, and transfer to the mixer jar.
- grind to a fine powder.
- now sieve the powder using fine mesh.
- ragi cerelac powder is ready, can be stored in an airtight container, and used for 3 months.
- to prepare porridge, in a steel saucepan, take 1 tbsp ragi cerelac and 1 cup water.
- mix well making sure there are no lumps.
- keep on flame on and cook on low flame.
- keep stirring until the mixture thickens and turns glossy.
- finally, once the porridge turns warm, serve the Ragi Cerelac Recipe or Ragi Porridge Recipe for 8 months plus baby in a silver bowl.
