bread uttapam recipe | instant bread dosa recipe | instant uttapam with step by step photo and video recipe. uttapam is south indian delicacy and traditionally it is prepared with rice and urad dal batter or even with the left over dosa batter. this process can be time consuming and certainly not ideal for busy couples who crave for authentic south indian dosa recipes. instant bread uttapam or instant bread dosa can be a good option which can be prepared without much hassle yet delivers the authentic dosa flavour.
i have already shared the instant bread masala dosa variation which carries the same recipe procedure and steps. yet there is subtle variation to the way the batter is prepared for both recipes. the former is prepared with thin batter where as comparatively you would need slightly thicker batter for instant bread dosa recipe. further, the bread masala dosa is rolled very thin on dosa pan and later topped with aloo bhaji or potato masala. however with bread uttapam recipe, the batter is poured on dosa pan without much rolling to maintain the thickness. later is topped with the choice of finely chopped vegetables.

while there isn’t much complicated steps in bread uttapam recipe, but i would like to highlight key points and variation to it. firstly, i always recommend to use normal white sandwich bread slices for this recipe. wholegrain or wheat bread is not recommended for instant bread dosa. secondly, i would not recommend to add additional baking soda for the batter to ferment. typically the sandwich bread slices are prepared with yeast or baking agent and hence adding further baking agent is not suitable. lastly, refrigerate the leftover bread dosa batter to stop the fermentation and turning to sour in taste.
finally i would request you to check my other dosa recipes collection from my blog. this mainly includes, set dosa, curd dosa, masala dosa, benne dosa, tuppa dosa, rava dosa, ragi dosa and wheat dosa recipe. in addition do visit my other recipes collection from my website like,
