Soft Bread Recipe – No Oven, No Egg, No Yeast | Homemade Bread On Tawa with step-by-step photo and video recipe. Wheat or plain flour-based bread is an essential part of our day-to-day meals. Typically these bread are purchased from a local vendor or from a supermarket store which generally contains the chemical and preservative agent. Moreover, we all assume that such bread requires complex steps and machinery to bake, but this post on soft bread recipes shows how to bake it on a stovetop.

I have posted quite a few types of bread or pav recipes on my blog but this type of bread is very new. Basically, it is a combination of bread and naan recipe with its taste, texture and appearance. Particularly, the thickness is in between with a pocket-like structure in between. This pocket can easily be used to stuff your favourite dry curry or deep-fried patties to make it burger or roll. I personally, prepare it when I need something different from the typical roti or chapati. You would enjoy it as naan bread, yet different from it. You can simply serve it with a choice of paneer curries, or serve it for breakfast. I simply enjoy this freshly baked warm bread as it is, but you can relish it as you wish.

Homemade Bread on Tawa Furthermore, some more related and additional tips, suggestions and variations to the soft bread recipes. Firstly, I have used the combination of plain flour and baking powder for this recipe and it is more than sufficient. However, the traditional way is to prepare it with yeast which would make it more soft and puffy. You may use it as a replacement for baking powder. Secondly, I cooked the bread directly on flame after it is roasted on tawa. This makes it lite and puffy. However, not a mandatory step and you can avoid it if you do not like it that way. Lastly, if you wish to add more flavour, you may add crushed or finely chopped garlic to the butter before brushing it on top of the bread.
