CUMIN - 1/4 CUP

firstly, in a pan take ½ cup coriander seeds, ¼ cup cumin seeds, 2 tsp pepper, 1 tsp fennel

CLOVES - 10

also add 6 pods cardamom, 10 clove and dry roast on low flame.

DRY ROAST - LOW FLAME

dry roast until spices turn aromatic.

COOL COMPLETELY

cool completely, and transfer to a blender.

GINGER POWDER 

also, add ½ tsp turmeric, ½ tsp ginger powder.

BLEND - FINE POWDER

blend to fine powder without adding any water. kashaya powder is ready, store in an airtight container.

KHSHAYA POWDER

to prepare kashaya, in a saucepan take 2½ cup water and add 3 tsp of prepared kashaya powder.

JAGGERY - 2 TBSP

also, add 2 tbsp jaggery. you can alternatively add sugar for sweetness

BOIL - 5 MINUTES

stir well and boil for 5 minutes or until flavours are absorbed well.

MILK - 1/4 CUP

turn off the flame and add ¼ cup milk. mix well

READY TO DRINK

finally, enjoy kashaya to cure cough, fever or boost immunity.
