BESAN - 1 CUP

firstly, in a large bowl take 1 cup besan, 1 cup rava

METHI - 1 BUNCH

add 1 bunch methi, 1 carrot, 1 tsp ginger paste and 1 chilli.

CURD - HALF CUP

also add ½ cup curd, ¾ tsp salt and mix well

REST - 10 MINUTES

rest for 10 minutes or until the rava absorbs water well

WATER - HALF CUP

now add ½ cup water and adjust consistency mixing well

2 SCOOP BATTER

scoop out 2 ladlefuls of batter in a small bowl

ENO - HALF TSP

add ½ tsp eno and mix gently.

SESAME - 1 TSP

now in a pan heat 2 tbsp oil. splutter ½ tsp mustard, 1 tsp sesame, ½ tsp cumin, pinch hing and few curry leaves.

BATTER

once the tempering splutters, pour in the prepared batter

CHILLI POWDER

also sprinkle pinch chilli powder on top

SIMMER - 2 MIN

cover and simmer for 2 minutes or until the base gets cooked wel

FLIP OVER

now flip over and mark a slit in the centre

BUTTER - 1 TSP

place 1 tsp butter and allow to roast on low flame until both sides are cooked well

READY TO EAT

finally, enjoy methi ka nashta with tomato sauce
