ADD WATER

firstly, in a large vessel take water.

SALT - 1 TSP

add 1 tsp salt, 3 tsp oil. get the water to a rolling boil

NOODLES - 3 PACK

now add 3 pack noodles and dip completely

BOIL - 3 MINUTES

boil for 3 minutes, or refer to package instructions to know the cooking time

SEPERATE NOODLES

separate the noodles and drain off.

DRAIN OFF

rinse with cold water to stop cooking and turning noodles mushy.

CHILLIPOWDER - 1 TSP

firstly, in a small bowl take 1 tsp corn flour, 1 tsp chilli powder, ¼ tsp cumin powder and ¼ tsp coriander powder

SOYA SAUCE - 2 TBSP

also add 1 tsp sugar, ¾ tsp salt, 2 tbsp soy sauce and 2 tbsp vinegar.

PEPPER POWDER

further, add 2 tsp oil and ¼ tsp pepper powder. traditionally, sesame oil and oyster sauce is also added.

SAUCE READY

mix well making sure there are no lumps, chowmein sauce ready

OIL - 2 TBSP

firstly, in a large wok, heat 2 tbsp oil and stir fry 3 clove garlic, 1 inch ginger and few spring onion.

ONION - HALF

add ½ onion, ½ green capsicum, ½ red capsicum, ½ carrot and ½ cup cabbage

STIR FRY 

stir fry until the vegetables shrink yet remain crunchy

 PREPARED SAUCE

make some space in the centre and pour the prepared sauce

STIR FRY

stir fry on high flame for a minute until everything is well combined.

CABBAGE - HALF

also, add ½ cup cabbage and stir fry

BOILED NOODLES

further, add boiled noodles and give a good toss

DO NOT BREAK

make sure the spices are well combined with noodles

READY TO EAT

finally, add more spring onions, and enjoy veg chowmein.
