well many would think, there may be a complicated process or set of ingredients to prepare these powder recipes. we generally assume it and buy it from the local indian grocery store. but to be honest, it is one of the simple recipes to make it at home. for all the 3 spice mix powder i have shown in this post, you just need 3 ingredients respectively. you need process it and sundry it for 4-5 days until it becomes crisp and brittle. note that each ingredient used here has a different set of moisture in it and may need individual attention. for instance, the ginger may get dried out soon, compared to the onion which has more moisture in it. hence you may need to check it regularly and put it under the sun if it needs more solar heat. once it is dry, you can easily ground to a fine powder and store it for a couple of months easily.

anyway, some more additional tips, suggestions and variations to the onion powder, garlic powder and ginger powder recipe. firstly, for the onion powder, you need to use brown onions and avoid using red onions. you may use the white onions for the same purpose but can be expensive to buy so better to stick to brown onions. secondly, in this post, i have used a knife to slice the onions, grater to grate ginger and food processor for garlic. you may just use the food processor for all the vegetables and i only used other option as variations. lastly, you may follow the same steps and process to prepare other spice powder. for instance, you may prepare tomato, lemon and even carrot and beetroot powder for the same purpose.
