well, i get so many requests for baby food and toddler food recipe requests from the concerned parents and mothers. i have to admit this, when i started this blog i was not quite serious about bab food section in my blog. perhaps, i did not experience the motherhood first hand and hence i was focusing more on the popular adult foods. but now after my daughter avni (she turned 10 months this month) i feel i am focusing more on baby food categories. since her birth, i have posted quite a few baby foods, especially after her weaning. basically, i am trying to capture and document all my learning, knowledge gained and the experiences till now. well, it is an ongoing process and i would continue to do so in the near future. having said that i have discontent that i have not shared much on the recovery process and food to be consumed after the pregnancy. perhaps, i would after my second child? not sure!!

  • firstly, peel the skin of carrot and cut in half.
  • chop the carrot into small pieces. if your carrot is small then you can use the whole carrot.
  • transfer the chopped carrot into a saucepan.
  • add ½ cup water, cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
  • or cook until the carrot softens. you can alternatively steam the carrot.
  • cool completely and blend to smooth paste.
  • finally, feed the carrot puree for baby by adjusting consistency with water, formula or breast milk.

how to prepare beetroot puree for baby:

  • firstly, take a quarter of beetroot and peel the skin.
  • chop the beetroot into small pieces.
  • transfer the chopped beetroot into a saucepan.
  • add ½ cup water, cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
  • or cook until the beet softens. you can alternatively steam the beetroot.
  • cool completely and blend to smooth paste.
  • finally, feed the beetroot puree for baby by adjusting consistency with water, formula or breast milk.

  • firstly, take a small piece of pumpkin, peel the skin and remove seeds.

  • finally, i recommend not to use any salt for vegetable purees and fruit purees as you are serving for baby up to 10 months old.
