TRIM SIDES

firstly, trim off the bread sides. you can use white or brown bread. however, preparing with white bread makes the dosa crispier compared with brown.

CUT PIECES

cut the bread into pieces and add to a large bowl

CURD -1/4 CUP

add ¼ cup rice flour, ¼ cup curd, ½ tsp salt, ½ ts sugar. sugar is added to give golden colour to the dosa.

SOAK - 20 MINUTES

now add 1 cup water and rest for 20 minutes to soak.

ABSORBED WELL

after 20 minutes, the bread and rava has soaked well

WATER - HALF CUP

transfer into the mixi and add water as required

SMOOTH BATTER

blend to really smooth paste

WHISK - 5 MINUTES

transfer the batter to the bowl and whisk for 5 minutes to make an airy batter

ADD BAKING SODA

further, add ¼ tsp baking soda and mix gently.

SPINKLE WATER

now heat the dosa pan and sprinkle water, wipe off with tissue paper. this helps to cool the tawa slightly, preventing from turning too hot.

SPREAD THIN

now pour the dosa batter and spread as thin as possible.

OIL - 2 TSP

pour oil and spread uniformly.

GOLDEN BROWN

roast on low to medium flame until it turns golden brown and crisp

READY TO SERVE

finally, enjoy bread dosa with chutney and sambar
