to be honest, i am a huge fan of stuffed paratha recipes and i generally make it for my dinner or for lunch boxes. the main reason is due to the fact that it generally does not need any extra sides like roti or chapathi. it basically cut downs the cooking time as it can easily be served with a condiment like a pickle or just plain yoghurt. having said that the namak mirch paratha may need some side as it is made with basic ingredients. this is something depends upon the individual preference. i personally do not require any sides for this recipe, but you may serve it with any leftover curries or even any dry sabji’s.
furthermore, i would like to highlight some of the tips, suggestions and variations for a perfect namak mirch paratha recipe. firstly, with respect to spices, i have used dry pudina or mint powder which can be replaced with other spices. the best alternative is to use fennel, ajwain and even kasuri methi. secondly, i have shaped the paratha in a triangle shape which should be ideal for this paratha. having said that you can also shape it to round or even square shape. lastly, you can roast the paratha till crisp and serve as a snack with a cup of tea or coffee. if it is served for lunch or dinner, make them soft and not crisp.
